From the moment you step into this 1960s family home you will be transported back into a time when life was simpler, carefree and relaxed. Current owners Dot and Oliver have lived on Atkinson Street for over 50 years. They have loved their time here but are ready to hand over their beloved home to the next family to enjoy and make their own memories.

This immaculately kept home has a traditional easy flow floor plan with an abundance of natural sunlight cascading throughout. While the house has a wonderful vintage feel it can easily be modernised with minimal effort due to the timeless structure and layout. Dot and Oliver’s love for their home can be felt relaxing on the back deck while admiring the beautiful, well maintained garden.

The prime location is one thing they will miss the most. With close proximity to Belconnen Mall, Jamison Centre and Mount Painter Nature Reserve. Cook shops including the sociable Little Oink Café and To All My Friends Restaurant are right next door as well local schools such as Koala Playschool, St. Vincent’s and Aranda Primary Schools, Canberra High, Hawker College and many more. The location also has easy access to Glenloch interchange which connects Cook to Civic, Woden and the Southside.

Why we love this house - Dot and Oliver, together with their two children moved to Australia in the 1960’s. After a few years in Australia they found 48 Atkinson Street and decided to make it their family home. They had their third child whilst living at Atkinson Street and found raising three kids in the suburb of Cook was the perfect lifestyle for them. Three kids, six grandkids and 11 great grandkids later have all enjoyed many summer days playing in the beautiful backyard, enjoying the many Sunday roasts with Yorkshire puddings, sleep overs and walks up Mt Painter. The memories made throughout this house is something all family members will cherish.
